Castle in the Air
A very profound piece, both in style and size, at 13 ¾” tall and some 15 pounds, this piece was a giant, and very expensive – I’ve read £300and $695 at time of release. Released with 2 metal cannons; a third was later added.

The Old Distillery
The Old Distillery was sculpted at Hendon Road and launched in 1982, then relaunched as part of the Scottish Collection in 1989. Meanwhile, in 1986, various changes were made to the piece.
◦ Foliage was added to the middle of the group of buildings on the right side.
◦ The roof of the largest building in the left side grouping was tapered at the back to prevent demoulding damage.
◦ The front extension to the large building between the two chimney stacks was shortened by half-an-inch, again to ease demoulding. The new area in front of it was remodelled and new crates added.
◦ In some of the colorings, there are blue roofs on some of the buildings, as well as adobe and light brown.
No further changes (apart from the base label) were made when The Old Distillery joined The Scoffish Collection, although the word ‘old* seems to have been dropped and the piece is more often described as The Distillery.

Cornish Engine House
A unique piece for two reasons – it includes two metal parts – the balcony and the wheel. The wheel has a complex metal attachment – a pump wheel and connection beam that actually turns. We don’t see many moving pieces on cottages!

Pieces made between 1983 and 1985 have a more pointed tip to the tall, central tree stove. It was smooth down to ease the molding. Very unusual sculpture.
